It's my Blogiversary!

Hi everyone,
So today is my 2nd Blogiversary! - that's right I created this blog 2 years ago on bonfire night! Happy Bonfire Night by the way! It's crazy to think I've had this blog for 2 years, I remember starting this blog 2 months into my first year of A-levels and now I'm sat in my university room starting me first year at university (how crazy is that?!?). This blog has been a great outlet for me and I've made some great blogging friends along the way too!
Anyway so for today's post I thought I'd do a little look back over the past 2 years of The Sequined Nail. I got the idea and some of the topics from Roaring Nails and Dahlia Nails who both recently celebrated their 1st Blogiversary (I hope that's okay Emma, Jo and Robin)!

So first of all I thought I'd show you my favourite designs from the past year! There have been quite a lot, especially with the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge!
Here they are:

Changes
Over the past few years my blog has had a lot of changes too, especially hand positions and lighting.

As you can see I've changed quite a lot! I started off with strange hand positions, bad editing and a black background and now I have better focused photos, better editing and better nails in general!

My posts

Taking part in the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge was definitely a big challenge this year to say the least. It pushed me nail art-wise in the best way possible but it was a lot to handle!
I also had a lovely set of guest posts on my blog this year over my A-level exam period which I am very grateful for as it helped me out immensely.

I also feel like this year my writing style has improved a lot and I'm starting to make my designs more personal which I really like.

Social Media & the blogger community

I think this year I have gotten more to grips with social media. Shortly after my 1st Blogiversary, I made the decision to get Instagram for the blog and it's one of the best decisions I've made - it's such a great platform! I also recently got Twitter for the blog too, which is slowly growing on me.
Who knows maybe by next year I might even have Pinterest for the blog!

In addition I also feel like this year I have become more part of the blogger community and made more friends too. Becoming a part of the Polish Party introduced my to a new group of lovely ladies who all share my passion for nail art! The guest post month I had also enabled me to get in touch and speak to some of my favourite bloggers such as Emma and Jo from Dahlia Nails and Robin from Roaring Nails!

So overall I think these 2 years have been pretty good! I've learnt a lot and I'm really grateful to everyone who reads and comments on my blog and those who follow me on other platforms too. I'm so happy to be a part of the blogging community, everyone is so welcoming and friendly! Hopefully I'll improve even more over the next year!

What's your favourite design of mine from the past year?
Do you think I've improved over the past 2 years.
Let me know what you think
