Simple Cartoon Stars

So this design is not my best, but the aim of this blog is so show both my nail art fails and successes. For this design I wanted to practice drawing stars because drawing them freehand is pretty tricky (well I think it is!).

Here's my design:

I used Company Polish in LANA, LA Colors Art Deco Striper in Black and LA Colors Art Deco Striper in Teal Glitter

Purple Feathers

Hi everyone,

Before I talk about today's design I wanted to find out your thoughts on something I've added to my blog layout. I have added a feature on the side bar called "search by colour" so if you are looking for a particular coloured nail art you can easily find it. 

What do you think about it? Do you think I should keep it or get rid of it? (Also, the colour labels I have used for it are temporary, they will be changed hopefully by the end of this week.)

Anyway onto the nail art!  As you probably know I love purple polishes. For this design I wanted to combine two purple polishes in my collection and use my nail LA Colors nail stripers. I wanted something simple which would show off both colours really well.

Here's what I came up with:

I used Fing'rs Heart 2 Art Peri - Wink, Wink, Sinful Colors Amethyst, Rimmel I Love Lasting Finish Your Majesty, LA Colors Art Deco Striper in Black and LA Colors Art Deco Striper in Purple/Blue Glitter.

Delicate Flowers

Hi everyone,

So as part of my Blogging resolutions, I said I was going do more nail art on metallic bases. For this design I used my favourite metallic nail polish: Models Own Purple Pearl. It's the perfect purple and it's so shiny!

For my design, I followed this tutorial from AJ at Nail Lacquer UK. As soon as she put this tutorial up I knew that I had to try it. If you haven't heard of AJ she is a British Blogger who creates the most amazing nail art! Her freehand is so detailed and she also makes her own indie nail polishes which are available on her Esty Shop .

Here's is my design:

Freehand Butterflies

Hi everyone,

So after wearing the metallic gradient on my nails for a couple of days (read the post here) I couldn't resist adding some nail art to them! I haven't had a chance to use any of my new nail polishes from Christmas yet, so I thought this would be a great opportunity.

I decided to do some freehand nail art using my new stripers, 

here's what I came up with:

I used Models Own Magenta Pearl, Models Own Purple Pearl and No7 Sing the Blues for the gradient.

For the Butterflies I used LA Colors Art Deco Striper in White, LA Colors Art Deco Striper in Purple/Blue Glitter and LA Colors Art Deco Striper in Rainbow Glitter.

Christmas Presents

Hi everyone,

So I'm sure this post is a few days overdue, but I still wanted to show you the nail polish I got for Christmas.

My parents had already told me that they weren't going to buy any nail polishes for Christmas (apparently I have too many, but you can never have too many nail polishes!), but they ended up buying me some in the end. I was also given a few other nail polishes too.
