So it's the end of the month which means one thing - Lacquer Legion time! This months theme is On Holiday. I decided to do something different instead of beaches and sunsets.
So today I have some very exciting nail art to show you - my Prom Nails!
My prom is actually tonight, so I thought I'd quickly show you all the design I've created to match my dress. I knew I wanted to do my own nails for the occasion but coming up with the design was the hard part! Colour-wise I knew I wanted to match my dress and I didn't want to go for the tradition french manicure for prom. In the end there was one design which stuck out for me which I fell in love with the first time I saw it last month. My nails were inspired by this design:
Now as you've probably guessed this design is one of Alice's from One Nail to Rule them All. You can see her post here. Alice used all Graffiti Nails nail polishes to create this design. As soon as I saw this design I loved it - the combination of colours works so well and I love the idea of nail art over glitter polish too! It's also a really unique design too!
So today I have some very exciting swatches for you today from Graffiti Nails. Graffiti Nails is a new nail polish brand which has collaborated with the lovely Alice from One Nail to Rule Them All to bring out 13 stunning nail polishes, a basecoat and topcoat.
The nail polishes I'm showing you swatches of are Butterfly Pink*, Morning Mist* and Pistachio*.
I'm back! My exams are finally over which means I finally have some time for nail art! Over the next few days I'll be creating so designs and catching up on all of your blog posts that I've missed! I'm so happy to be back!
So today I have a review of some decals from the Born Pretty Store. I think feathers are really hard to draw on nails so when I saw these decals I couldn't resist!
These feathers are item number XF1221 and you can view them here.
As soon as these decals arrived I knew exactly what design I wanted to do and I'm so happy with the results! Here's the design:
So today I thought I'd show some nails I wore for an interview a few weeks ago. I was so excited for this interview - I couldn't believe my luck! But when I sat down to create a design I had some sort of mental block! I hadn't painted my nails for so long so I guess all creative thoughts had vanished whilst I was revising! I eventually came up with this design. I have to be honest, at first I didn't like it, I even emailed the girls from Dahlia Nails to ask their opinion! Sadly I didn't get the job, but the more I wore the design, the more I liked it! It gave me a chance to experiment, and I'm happy with the end result. Those of you who follow me on instagram have probably seen a little preview of this design already! Anyway, enough about me, here's the design:
I used Models Own Grape Juice, Models Own Blueberry Muffin, Models Own Apple Juice, Models Own Banger, Models Own Roman Candle, Models Own Rocket, Models Own Catherine Wheel and Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black.
Today I have a review of some decals from the Born Pretty Store. These decals are so delicate and in my favourite colour too - purple! I was really excited to try these as I have never tried water decals before either!
The decals are available in 4 different colours: pink, orange/yellow, blue and purple. I decided to chose purple, item number BOP/223, which you can view here.
So today I thought I'd do a round up of all of the guest posts I've had over the past few weeks. I've only got 2 exams left so I should be back to painting nails by the end of next week (fingers crossed!). I've loved all of the designs which have been created and all of the bloggers have really helped me out too!
Today I thought I'd show you swatches of the gorgeous Rimmel Lycra Pro Aqua Cool.
I've had this nail polish for a while now and I have to say it's one of my favourites!
Sadly, they no longer sell this colour at Boots or Superdrug. I think they've replaced the Lycra Pro with the 'Salon Pro' collection! I think they have brought out a similar colour to this though.
So today I have the last post in my guest post series. I have 3 exams left now and have managed to find some time to create a few designs which I'll show you over the next few weeks. Today's guest post is from one of my favourite bloggers Robin from Rexxx did it. Robin's designs are always so unique and she's a great blogging friend too!
Anyway over to Robin:
Hi everyone!
