Hi everyone,
So today's theme is Inspired by a Film (or should I say movie). I decided to do some nail art representing one of my favourite films from the last few years: Pitch Perfect. It's such a funny film and one you can watch countless times and still love.
Here's my design:

31DC2014 Day 22: Inspired by a Song

Hi everyone,
So today's theme is 'Inspired by a song'. Personally I love music, I'm always listening to it in the house, when I go to town, wherever I am music is always on (when possible!). However for some reason I struggled with this theme but in the end I decided to take a big risk.

So some of you may know that I am a Hindu and my family are originally from India. I love Bollywood films and the songs are always so glamorous and colourful. Therefore instead of an English song I decided to show parts of a song from one of my favourite Bollywood films from last year: Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela - modern day version of Romeo and Juliet with a Bollywood twist (You can see the trailer here). Another thing I love about this film is that it is set in Gujrat (an Indian state where my family is from).
Anyway enough about the film and onto the song!

Here is my design:

I used Avon Nailwear Pro + in Real Red, Avon Nailwear Pro + in Licorice, Barry M Gelly Coconut, NYC High Line Green, Revlon Gold Coin, LA Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in Gold, Models Own Peacock Green and Models Own Nail Art Pen in Yellow

31DC2014 Day 6 - Violet

Hi everyone,
So today's theme is violet - my favourite colour. Well to be honest purple is my favourite colour but violet is my favourite shade of purple. Today's design didn't turn out as well as I had hoped bit I love the cartoon-esque feel it has to it.

I used Barry M Gelly Coconut, Models Own Grape Juice and  Models Own HyperGel Purple Glare.

31DC 2014 Day 5: Blue

Hi everyone,
I was so sad to take off yesterday's design, I loved it too much - I think I'll have to recreate it sometime, but anyway let's get on with today's design! So for today's prompt blue, I decided to go for a geometric design. This design is pretty simple and easy to do, but I've never done it before so I thought I'd have a go!

I used Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream, Barry M Gelly Guava and NYC Ink Stain

Geometric accent nail

Hi everyone,
So today I've decided to show you a few of the nail art designs I created as possibilities to wear at my prom a few weeks ago. You can see the design I chose to wear on my nails here. I'm going to apologise in advance for the photos and clean up as I wasn't planning to post these - they were just quick little designs I came up with.
Here's the first design:

I used Barry M Gelly Coconut, No7 Night Silver, No7 So Simple and LA Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in Black.

Prom Nails

Hi everyone,
So today I have some very exciting nail art to show you - my Prom Nails!
My prom is actually tonight, so I thought I'd quickly show you all the design I've created to match my dress. I knew I wanted to do my own nails for the occasion but coming up with the design was the hard part! Colour-wise I knew I wanted to match my dress and I didn't want to go for the tradition french manicure for prom. In the end there was one design which stuck out for me which I fell in love with the first time I saw it last month.
My nails were inspired by this design:

Now as you've probably guessed this design is one of Alice's from One Nail to Rule them All. You can see her post here. Alice used all Graffiti Nails nail polishes to create this design. As soon as I saw this design I loved it - the combination of colours works so well and I love the idea of nail art over glitter polish too! It's also  a really unique design too!
So, here's my version of Alice's design:

Polish Party: Inspired By another Party Member

Hi everyone,
So Aprils prompt for the Polish Party is Inspired by another Polish Party Member. This prompt has been on nominated a couple of times now (each month be vote for a design) and this month it won the vote. As soon as I saw this I knew I couldn't miss this prompt out, so I took a little break from revision to do some nail art! I knew exactly which member I was going to choose too: Emily from Nailsxo

Emily creates really great designs and has recently started to do tutorials too. I decided to follow her Framed/Border Nail Art tutorial (see it here).
Here's my recreation following Emily's tutorial:

I used Barry M Gelly Guava and Barry M Matt White
