The Lacquer Legion: On Holiday

Hi everyone,
So it's the end of the month which means one thing - Lacquer Legion time! This months theme is On Holiday. I decided to do something different instead of beaches and sunsets.

Here's my design:

I used Models Own Blueberry Muffin, Barry M Gelly Coconut, LA Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in Black,LA Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in White,  Nails Inc Luminous Red and Fing'rs Heart 2 Art The Boys in Blue

So I'm not sure if you'll be able to guess what my design is, but it's actually meant to be the front and back of a postcard. For the front of the postcard I decided to do a union jack design - it's a lot easier than trying to draw a tiny beach scene!

Overall, I have to admit I'm not particularly happy with this design, I think the  lines are too thick, especially the black outline. I like the idea of the design, but it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I definitely think I need some thinner striping brushes! Hopefully my design for this months Polish Party theme will be better!

Can you recommend any nail art brushes?
Have you taken part in this months Lacquer Legion?
Let me know what you think

  1. I get it!! I didn't at first, thought maybe it was a flag and plane ticket? Love the postcard idea, though. Very cool! ^_^

    1. Ooh I see what you mean about a flag and a plane ticket - that would have been a great idea too! I did the flag because I thought it would be easier that drawing a beach scene on my nails! :P
