Tribal Pop Art Tutorial

Hi everyone,
So today I'm going to show you a tutorial which was requested by Stef from Fairly Charming , Jasmine from The Happy Sloths and Ela from Pretty Little Nails. Stef also came up with a name for this design: "Tribal Pop Art". I love this name - I agree with Stef it definitely sums up this design.

These nails were a big goalpost for me, as this design was my first design to get the official Tumblr "nail art" tag. You can see the original post here.

Here are the nail polishes I used:

Here are the pens I used:

Now, on to the tutorial:

Paint your nails with a base coat and then apply your chosen base colour.

Next, carefully add a stripe of white nail polish diagonally down the middle of your nail.

Wait for the stripe to dry completely  then add the zig - zags onto the line. After, carefully outline the stripe.

Whilst waiting for the middle to dry, use your white nail art pen to create tiny polka dots.

Add the dots in between each triangle.

Wait for your design to dry and then add a topcoat. You can clean up your design using a brush dipped in acetone, or my personal favourite Barry M Nail Polish Corrector.

Here is a round up of all the steps:

Hopefully this tutorial was useful!
Let me know what you think.
