Prom Nails

Hi everyone,
So today I have some very exciting nail art to show you - my Prom Nails!
My prom is actually tonight, so I thought I'd quickly show you all the design I've created to match my dress. I knew I wanted to do my own nails for the occasion but coming up with the design was the hard part! Colour-wise I knew I wanted to match my dress and I didn't want to go for the tradition french manicure for prom. In the end there was one design which stuck out for me which I fell in love with the first time I saw it last month.
My nails were inspired by this design:

Now as you've probably guessed this design is one of Alice's from One Nail to Rule them All. You can see her post here. Alice used all Graffiti Nails nail polishes to create this design. As soon as I saw this design I loved it - the combination of colours works so well and I love the idea of nail art over glitter polish too! It's also  a really unique design too!
So, here's my version of Alice's design:

I used No7 Night Silver, Topshop Ice Crush and Barry M Gelly Coconut.

Here's a picture of my nails with my dress:

For those who follow me on twitter and Instagram you probably saw my #tbt post was my nails from my Prom in year 11. These were done before I actually created this blog (but I created a post about them here) and I cannot believe the progress I have made between my year 11 prom and year 13 prom. I've got a little comparison for you here:

What a difference! There are so many things different about my nails back then: my cuticles, my clean up, my photos, my watermark and not to mention the size of my nails - look at my thumb!

Anyway, I am really pleased with how my prom nails turned out and I'd like to say a big thank you to Alice for creating her design - if she hadn't created it who knows what design I would have done, all I know is that it would not have loved them as much as this design!

What do you think of my prom nails?
What nails did you have for your prom?
Let me know what you think
