Tour de France Nails

Hi everyone,
So for those of you who live in Europe (especially in France and the UK) you will know that today is actually the first stage of Le Tour de France. Le Tour de France is a cycling race which takes place in France, often departing from another country in Europe and ending in France. This year for the 101st edition the cycle race is actually beginning in England - in the NORTH not the South! Stage 1 of the race will be Leeds to Harrogate and so I'll actually get to watch the race because it goes through my hometown! To celebrate the occasion I decided to create some Tour de France nails:

I used Models Own Nail Art Pen in BlackModels Own Nail Art Pen in WhiteModels Own Nail Art Pen in YellowModels Own Nail Art Pen in Blue and  Nails Inc Luminous Red

As you have probably already guessed each nail has something to do with the tour. I have drawn the French and British Flag and on my ring finger I have drawn the 'wheel' which is part of the Tour de France Logo. I also added the year too. The backgrounds for those two nails are yellow because everywhere in Yorkshire has yellow bikes at the moment to celebrate the tour as yellow is the main colour of the logo.

Here is a closer look:

Overall I'm really happy with these nails. The design has turned out just like I hoped and the cycle race was really good too!
Are you watching the Tour de France this year?
Do you like this design?
Let me know what you think

    1. It was such a great experience! Thank you Emily! I'm happy with the union jack - it's a lot better than the one I did for the Lacquer Legion Holiday post! :)

  4. Very cool!! I don't often have stuff come out the way I picture in my head so it's really nice being able to see other people pull it off. :)
