31DC2014 Day 12: Stripes

Hi everyone,
So for day 12 of the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge the theme is stripes. I decided to freehand the stripes as I couldn't face the hassle of striping tape! - I think they turned out quite well to say I did them freehand.
Here is my design:

I used Avon Nailwear Pro Real Red, Rimmel I Love Last Lasting Finish in Sunshine, NYC High Line Green, No7 Stand Back and LA Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in White

31DC2014 Day 3: Yellow

Hi everyone,
So for Day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge the theme is yellow! As I mentioned in yesterday's post i'm not really a fan of yellow nail polish, I think I just find it too bright against my skin. My sister on the other hand loves yellow so I borrowed a few yellow nail polishes from her and decided to try a nail art technique I've never done before - Saran Wrap!
Here is the outcome:

Tour de France Nails

Hi everyone,
So for those of you who live in Europe (especially in France and the UK) you will know that today is actually the first stage of Le Tour de France. Le Tour de France is a cycling race which takes place in France, often departing from another country in Europe and ending in France. This year for the 101st edition the cycle race is actually beginning in England - in the NORTH not the South! Stage 1 of the race will be Leeds to Harrogate and so I'll actually get to watch the race because it goes through my hometown! To celebrate the occasion I decided to create some Tour de France nails:

Polish Party: Spring

Hi everyone,
So this months Polish Party theme is Spring. Spring always reminds me of when I was in Primary School. My and my friends would always sit on the grass and make Daisy Chain bracelet's for each other, so I'd thought I'd incorporate daisies into my design.

A couple of days ago I was contacted by Julep and asked to take part in their Spring Nail Art Contest! Julep has so many gorgeous nail polishes to choose from (see them here)! I've decided to put this design forward for the competition, however I wasn't able to use any Julep nail polishes because sadly they don't ship to the UK (fingers crossed they do soon though!).

This is also my entry for NailPolis' Spring Nail Art contest. If you like the design please vote for me here
Here's what I came up with:

I used Rimmel Lycra Pro Aqua Cool, NYC High Line Green, Barry M Matt White and Models Own Nail Art Pen in Yellow

Christmas Skittle

Hi everyone,
It's 2 day's 'till Christmas! I'm so excited!
Anyway, today I'm going to show you the nails I will be wearing for Christmas day. I have so many different designs in mind, but in the end I decided to do a skittle mani - that way I can combine lots of different ideas! This is my first skittle mani, and I have to say I really like the idea of it!
Here's my design:

On my thumb I did a Christmas tree.
As you can probably tell, I used lots of different nail polishes to create this.

Mini Toes!

Hi everyone,
Today I thought I'd show you a design I did on my cousins toes!

For her nails she wanted smiley faces.

I used Max Factor Mini Cool Jade, No7 Vivid Violet, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Yellow and Models Own Nail Art Pen in Pink.

This design was actually a lot easier to do than I thought and I really like the outcome.

Do you like this design?
Let me know what you think.

Mini Mix and Match

Hi everyone,
Today I thought I'd show you some nails I did on my little cousin.

For her nails she wanted a mix of everything, which the brightest colours possible, here's what I came up with:

I used Rimmel I Love Lasting Finish in Sunshine, Max Factor Mini Cool Jade, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Blue, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Pink, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Yellow, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black, Models Own Nail Art Pen in White and No7 Damson Dream

My cousin really liked this, however she found it hard to sit still whilst I was painting her nails as she is only 4!

Do you like the design?

The WAH Nails Book of Downtown Girls Review + Nail Art

*This book was purchase by me
Hi everyone,
So today I thought I'd review the new WAH Nails nail art book! As soon as I saw Sharmadean Reid was releasing another Nail Art Book I immediately pre-ordered it! I was so excited!

WAH Nails is a salon based in London which was founded by Sharmadean Reid. Her first nail art book "The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art" was released last year and was a huge success.

The second book is slightly different, with new designs, style advice and interviews with nail technicians! It also gives advice on how to be a successful blogger and teaches you how to make 3D shapes for your nails.

Newspaper Nails with a twist

Hi everyone,
Today's nail art is inspired by a mug I received for my 16th Birthday last year.
I've been wanting to do this design for a while now, but have only just got round to it!

I really liked the design, and thought the design inside the "16" would look good as a nail art design. So I simplified it and turned it into this:
