Hi everyone,
So today I've decided to show you a few of the nail art designs I created as possibilities to wear at my prom a few weeks ago. You can see the design I chose to wear on my nails here. I'm going to apologise in advance for the photos and clean up as I wasn't planning to post these - they were just quick little designs I came up with.
Here's the first design:
So today I've decided to show you a few of the nail art designs I created as possibilities to wear at my prom a few weeks ago. You can see the design I chose to wear on my nails here. I'm going to apologise in advance for the photos and clean up as I wasn't planning to post these - they were just quick little designs I came up with.
Here's the first design:
I used Barry M Gelly Coconut, No7 Night Silver, No7 So Simple and LA Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in Black.
As you can see this is a relatively simple design. I used striping tape to create the accent nail, I actually found it harder than I expected to line the striping tape up. The colour on the rest of my nails (Barry M Coconut) matched perfectly with my dress, however I soon realised that by itself it blends in too much with my dress.
For the second design I kepy my accent nail the same but changed the base colour for the rest of my nails to No7 Night Silver which was the colour of the embroidery on my dress. Here's what it looked like:
I felt this combination worked a lot better than with Barry M Coconut as the base, which helped me to decide that I would have Night Silver as my base for my actual prom nails.
Overall although I really like the geometric accent nail I don't really think it suits my nail shape. It looks stunning on square nails such as this design by Kelli from The Nail Polish Challenge. I apologise again for the clean up of these designs. I do however love the colour combination of colours in these designs.
What do you think of these designs?
Do you like the colour combination?
Let me know what you think

Night Silver looks so pretty! I also like the second design the most because there's more Night Silver in it ;) I love the accent nail too! And I think it looks great on your nail shape, no worries!
