The Lacquer Legion: Lucky

Hi everyone,
So for March's Lacquer Legion theme is Lucky.
To be honest when I first saw this theme I was stuck. However I've made this design personal by painting what is lucky for me.

Here is the design I came up with:

Little Finger: Nails Inc Elizabeth Street and Rimmel I love Lasting Polish Your Majesty
Ring Finger: Maybelline Color Show Iced Queen and LA Colors Art Deco White
Middle Finger: Max Factor Mini Cool Jade,  LA Colors Art Deco Gold Rush
Pointer: Barry M Bluebrry, and LA Colors Art Deco White

The two numbers (17 and 22) are my lucky numbers. 17 is my birthday and 22 is just a number I like!

The design on my middle finger is 'Om'. I am a Hindu and the 'om' symbol is very important in our religion.  I have the 'om' symbol on a gold necklace which I've have since I was little. I always wear it round my neck (I feel so bare when I don't wear it!). The necklace has a little flower pendant with the 'om' symbol in the middle. During my time in high school we weren't allowed to wear necklaces, but when I had exams I would always wear my necklace (making sure the teachers didn't see it) and I would always pass the exam. For every GCSE exam I did, I wore this necklace and I passed every exam getting the grades I wanted or better! I also wore the necklace last week when I had my driving test and I passed first time!

The horseshoe doesn't have any particular meaning to me personally, but a lot of people I know have them as a good luck charms and I also consider them lucky too!

Here is a closer look:

Overall I really like this design and I think it sums the things I find lucky.

What do you think of my Lucky nail art?
Do you have any good luck charms?
Let me know what you think

  5. Hey Jayna I'm Hindu too and I completely understand your devotion towards the charm and it's great how you have incorporated that into your mani. I think I too will try to work with symbols in my next blog post. Thank you for the idea :)
