Simple Gradient

Hi everyone,
So today's design is something I've been wanting to do for such a long time, but have only just got round to trying out. I really like the look of gradients with a layer of glitter on top, so I decided to have a go at doing one myself.
Here's what I came up with:

I used Max Factor Mini Cool Jade, Maybelline Color Show Urban Turquoise, Fingr's Heart 2 Art The Boys in Blue and Technic Treasure Chest (Gold glitter)

My gradient is far from perfect, I think I need to practice a lot more, but I really like this combination.

Here is a closer look:

Overall I really like the simplicity of this, it shows off the gradient really well, and the glitter in the nail polish are the perfect size! I think I'm definitely going to try this again, but with a different colour combination.

What colour combinations would you like to see for this design?
Do you like this design?
Let me know what you think

  1. The colours you picked look amazing! I love the fade from light green to darker green and bright blue :) Maybe you could do a gradient with purple? Haha I recently just bought purple polishes myself to try some gradients with so that's why my mind instantly thinks of purple :)

    1. Thank you Robin! Ooh that sounds like a good idea - purple is my favourite colour so I'll definitely have to give it a try! What purple nail polishes did you buy? :)

    2. I got an "ombre pack" from Guylond a few weeks ago (you can see these in my Nimbus nails post), then I got an unnamed purple polish from a local store and also "Berry Potter and Plumbledore" from Catrice - honestly, when I find a polish with a name like that it's impossible to not buy it right! ;)

    3. Ooh I've been wanted to buy an ombre pack for a while now! Oh yeah I really liked the Nimbus nails you did! Berry Potter and Plumbledore is such a great name for a nail polish - if I'd seen it I would definitely have bought it too! :)

  10. Love the colours you used! My gradients always come out a bit blotchy so I think I'm going to try using a make up sponge to blend it together in future.

  12. I think you did a great job! I especially like the Technic Treasure Chest gold glitter, it seems to fit so well with the blues! I'd love to see a pink/coral gradient with silver glitter, I think that would look so pretty :D x
