31DC2014 Day 8: Metallic Nails

Hi everyone,
So today's prompt for the 31 Day Challenge is definitely one of my favourites - metallic. Those of you who read my blog often will probably know in a big fan of metallic nail polishes - especially in the winter! Today I thought I'd combine 2 of my favourite things: metallic blue nail polish and delicate freehand nail art.
Here's my design:

I used No7 Sing the Blues, La Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in White,  La Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in Gold Glitter and LA Colors Art Deco Nail Striper in Blue Glitter

This design has got to be one of my favourites so far (along with my design for day 4). It's simple and elegant and the glitter looks great when it catches the light. This design was based loosely on a design I created for my mum a few weeks ago (which you can see here), it sort of reminds of feathers- especially with these colours!

Here is a closer look:

Overall I really love this design. It has turned out a lot better than yesterday's design and has reminded me why I love metallic freehand nail art so much!

Do you like freehand nail art?
Do you like metallic nail polishes?

    1. Aww thank you! I got them from Boyes - they were only £1 each and are definitely worth it - I use them a lot for my designs! :)
