31DC2014 Day 20: Water Marble

Hi everyone,
So I'm going to be honest when I first saw today's prompt - water marbling, I was a bit cautious. A lot of bloggers struggle with water marbling and I could tell I was going to be one of them.
I can see why people hate water marbling. It's a pain and so messy. I did do a water marble design today, but instead of using water like you're supposed to, I created my own method and did a dry water marble.
Here's the final result:

I used Models Own HyperGel Turquoise Gloss, Models Own HyperGel Purple Glare and Models Own Sundress

I tried normal water marbling so many times and it just failed no matter how many youtube videos I watched on it! In the end I think this dry technique I did worked out better although I think I went a bit over the top with the marbling!

Here is a closer look:

Overall I'm really happy with the outcome of this design. The dry marble technique has worked out a lot better and I love the colour combination. The HyperGels worked perfectly for this too! I think I did however over-marble this, so if I try this again I will try to do that less! If you would like to see a tutorial for this, let me know below in the comments!

Which is your favourite finger?
Any tips for water marbling?
