31DC2014 Day 27: Inspired by artwork

Hi everyone,

So today the theme is inspired by artwork. These inspired by prompts are actually a lot harder than I anticipated and once again I found it hard to decide on my inspiration. In the end I decided to go with Roy Lichtenstein, who is famous for his pop art style artwork. Here is my design:

I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White, No7 So Simple, Avon Nailwear Pro in Real Red, Barry M Nail Art Pen in Black, Fing'rs Heart2Art Catch So Greys, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Yellow, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Blue

I decided to pick a few different parts of Lichtenstein's artwork to recreate, I wanted to show off his comic book style words and sort of pointillist work too which he adapted to a move pop art style.

Overall I think this design turned out better than I expected. The word nails didn't turn out that well but I love the design as whole. - I think it's clear I need to practice my lettering! I think my favourite design is the eye because it's simplistic design is so bold.
