No7 Gel-Look Shine Deep Wine swatch

Hi everyone,
So today I thought I'd show you swatches of the gorgeous No7 Gel-Look Shine nail polish Deep Wine. This nail polish has been one I've been after for a long time - I was on the hunt for a pinky/burgundy nail polish for so long! I had the exact colour in my head but I couldn't find it anywhere until I saw this at No7! Personally I'm not a big fan of wearing red nail polish by itself, so this raspberry colour is the perfect compromise for me!

No7 has always been one of my go-to brands for as long as I cant remember, but I feel their nail polish collection isn't showcased on blogs that much for some reason! Personally I love the brand - they're the reason my nail polish collection is so big! - every time me or my mum would get a No7 voucher we'd buy a new nail polish - I think we practically have every shade they sell!

Anyway, enough about my love for No7, onto the swatches:

This nail polish is available from Boots and is £7.00.
Normally I never pay full price for products from No7 as I always end up buying them with the No7 vouchers Boots give at the till sometimes!

For these swatches I used 2 coats of No7 Gel-Look Shine nail polish Deep Wine.
Application was really easy, especially as No7 have wide brushes which I love! The formula of these is just slightly thicker than normal No7 nail polishes but it wasn't a problem at all.
As you can see the nail polish definitely lives up to its name - it is definitely high shine!

Here is a closer look:

Overall I think this shade is stunning. Its classy, elongates your nails and has a lovely gloss finish too! I'd definitely recommend it!
Have you tried No7 nail polish before?
Do you like this shade?
Let me know what you think

Fancy French Manicure

Hi everyone,
So today's design actually matches an outfit I wore to family event on the weekend. It was actually the first time I've worn and Indian outfit since October so I could wait to dress up again! So of course the biggest task was decided what to do on my nails (as well as hair and makeup!)! I opted for a simple design as my outfit was quite simple as well. Here's what I came up with:

I used No7 Vivid Violet and No7 Hot to Trot

Lasercut Gradient

Hi everyone,
So for today's nail art I decided to revisit striping tape. A lot of bloggers actually find striping tape annoying to use but I actually quite like it - there's something quite exciting about peeling off the tape to reveal the design you've created! The only downside is that it is time consuming, but once you get over that you can achieve some stunning results!

I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Models Own HyperGel Turquoise Gloss and Models Own HyperGel Blue Glint

Easter Bunny Nails

Hi everyone,
So as it's Easter weekend I decided to some themed nails for the occasion! Today was actually the first time I've sat and done nail art for a while now, and it's been really nice. It's made me realise that I need to take time out from everyday life and do something for me - paint my nails! I've been missing creativity in my life for the past few weeks/months so by creating this design I could feel the creativeness inside me wanted to come out!

Anyway, for this design I decided to focus on one specific character: the Easter bunny! - I decided to have it as a sort of accent nail peeking through!
Here's my design:

I used Models Own Top Turquoise, Barry M Nail Art Pen in White, Max Factor Diva Violet, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Rimmel London Lycra Pro Aqua Cool, Models Own Strawberry Tart

Mani swap

Hi everyone,
So today we have something new on my blog today! - my first ever Mani swap! Out of all the bloggers I know, I'm so happy to say my first ever mani swap is with Robin from Roaring Nails. Robin has become a great blogging friend over the past couple of months. She creates wonderful designs, provides honest product reviews and always comments on my blog too! (something which I have been slacking on lately - sorry!)

I chose this design by Robin, which was actually based on a pair of socks! I love this about Robin - she get's inspiration from anywhere, which is perfectly shown by the design I chose! I also love that it mixes geometric, monochrome and purple into one design, as I love all 3!

I used No7 Foxglove, Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black

Born Pretty Store Chameleon Nail Polish review

*This product was provided for review
Hi everyone,
So for today's post I have a review of a nail polish from the Born Pretty Store. As soon as I saw this nail polish on their website I instantly knew I'd love it! - it combines 2 of my favourite colours - purple and blue!

This nail polish is a 'chameleon' nail polish as it changes colour in different light, shifting from different shades of purple and blue in different light.

Stained Glass half moons

Hi everyone,
So first of all sorry for the lack of posts last week. Last week was actually my Birthday and with it being my first Birthday at University I spent it with my friends and it was very hectic to say the least! Last week was actually quite a weird week for me, I wasn't feeling that well and I just generally didn't feel that good in myself - I didn't even paint my nails for my Birthday! But anyway I'm back on track now (fingers crossed)!
For today's post I decided to use Models Own Top Turquoise, a polish that's been on my list for a while now and one I often see on Emma & Jo's blog - Dahlia Nails!

I used Models Own Top Turquoise, Models Own Nail Art Pen in White, Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black and LA Colors Art Deco in Teal Glitter

Geometric Gradient

Hi everyone,
So for today's design I decided to use my newest HyperGel, Blue Glint! - I just can't get enough of the HyperGels at the moment! The HyperGels are actually really good to create gradients with, so with that in mind I decided to create some all Models Own nail art!
Here's what I came up with:

I used Models Own HyperGel Turquoise Gloss, Models Own HyperGel Blue Glint, Models Own HyperGel Purple Glare and Models Own Nail Art Pen in White

Little Flowers

Hi everyone,
So for today's design I decided to step into Spring a little and do a flower design! I recently picked up the colour most stunning burgundy colour (No7 Gel Look Shine in Deep Wine) with my No7 voucher and knew I wanted to use it as a base for some nail art! When my friend suggested adding flowers, I knew I didn't want to go for a typical flower design, instead I opted for a sort of gradient, which worked well (I think!).
Here's my design:

I used No7 Gel-Look Shine in Deep Wine, Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Revlon Gold Coin

A little bit spotty

Hi everyone,
So today's nail art is pretty simplistic, but it makes a nice change from a full polka dot design.
Here's what I came up with:

I used Models Own HyperGel Sundress, Models Own HyperGel Blue Glint and Models Own Nail Art Pen in White

My first Kiko nail polish! - Kiko 265

Hi everyone,
So this is the first post of 2015! I hope you all had a wonderful new year and picked up lots of nail polish in the sales! I was lucky enough to spend New Years in London with my best friend from University. On New Years day we went shopping in London and I was lucky enough to visit the Kiko store! - my best friend couldn't believe I had never been to Kiko so she made sure we made a visit to it!  Out of all of the nail polishes on display there was one which particularly caught my eye - Kiko 265, a metallic blue. It must of been my lucky day because it was on sale too!

This nail polish is available from the Kiko website.
